Vietnam At My Sight - Day 1

Hellow..!
Long time no see, short time no see... how's your 2013 so far? Mine is so far so good. But first, I'm going to write about my trip to Vietnam last December.

Well, we touched down at Hanoi Airport on 17th Dec around 8am. We Malaysians do not need to fill any visa form, we just proceeded to the immigration counter where only the passport required. I did see other foreigners have to settle their visas though. The airport is just a small one.. and a quiet one.

We then met by the tour guide of ABC Tours (didn't bother to ask of their full name) and immediately started our Hanoi City Tour. The first day in Hanoi was hot although it was in their winter season (minus the snow, of course). We covered Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Too bad, we arrived on Monday as the mausoleum is closed, we missed to see Ho Chi Minh's body. Why am I so interested to see the dead body? Our lunch was at Vietnam Authentic Restaurant. Simple food, but all food taste good when we're famished.

These were all I got for the 1st day..alas...my cheap camera went faulty upon arrival although I already made sure it was fully charged and functioned before we departed for Hanoi.

We tried to take a stroll that afternoon but we were terrified of the motorcycle traffic so we just ushered away our jetlag on bed, watching Vietnamese broadcasting without English subtitles.

Dinner was at some plain restaurant. We finished the servings fast since the temperature suddenly fell down tremendously that evening. Also simple meals. I managed to buy some pastries downstairs the restaurant but my oh my it's a little bit hard, not fluffy.

Happiness is Pricey

Happiness is appreciating what we already have:

In September, I obtained a driving license which led me to expand my mortgage to indulge in a D-Max Limited Edition. But I'm beaming with pride I wanted myself to include it in the accomplishment chest.

And another thing that stretch the grin wider... I've got myself a Malaysian Passport...which means I am free to travel to every nook within the 2-years duration (of course, when my earning permits). I've always wanted to have one since 2011 cause I'm eyeing for Universal Studio Singapore. But then, I booked Vietnam first...this December! Halong Bay, I am coming to you.......
