Off To Jerteh-Besut, Terengganu

Been to Jerteh cum Besut for the teaching practical at TBK Padang Landak. I regret that we only went to Kolam Air Panas La when other coursemates managed to travel to Kelantan up further to Pasir Golok the border of Malaysia and Thailand, the Bukit Keluang Beach famous for the shooting location for the film Merong Mahawangsa and more tourist attraction sites. Hmmm...alas...

Jerteh is in the district of Besut - what should I say..hummm...still lack of proper development but compared to my own hometown, I am positively glad that in terms of social problems mine is better. Back at my neighborhood 'rempit-ing' has not yet strike our youth there, the boys do have extent passion at bikes but they do it at further challenge: they do motorcross...

A bit about the history of Besut - the people are Kelantan origins, the land was actually belongs to to Kelantan state. Once upon a time the Sultans of Kelantan and Terengganu were cock-fighting when the Sultan of Kelantan bet that if Terengganu's cock win they shall have the land of Besut. Terengganu won and as they say...the rest is history!
